Job summary

Encore Electric, Inc. is seeking a VDC Coordinator to bridge design, construction operations, and technology platforms, translating digital models into successful field execution. You will support Preconstruction, Marketing, Prefabrication, and Field teams, modeling the electrical scope in 3D and creating install drawings and 2-D details.

Ideal candidates have 3 years BIM/VDC experience, an AA.S. in CAD or equivalent, and strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Qualifications

  • 3 years of experience in BIM/VDC Coordination.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent plus AA.S. in CAD or equivalent.
  • Proficiency in BIM/VDC software and cross-disciplinary collaboration.

Responsibilities

  • Model the entire Electrical scope in 3D.
  • Create install drawings and 2-D CAD prefabrication details.
  • Produce as-built drawings and 3D models, maintain index sheets.
  • Maintain file archives and ensure training for VDC requirements.
  • Quality assurance of work product and teamwork.

Compensation for this role: $36.00 to $45.00 per hour.

OVERVIEW:

The VDC Coordinator role serves as the bridge between design teams, construction operations, and technology platforms, ensuring that digital models are effectively translated into successful field execution. This position uses the software listed below and assists the VDC Lead Coordinator in the electrical design and layout of construction projects under the supervision of field crew members.

Specific Responsibilities
VDC Coordinator

Support the VDC needs of the Preconstruction, Marketing, Prefabrication, and Field construction teams, including but not limited to:

  • Model the entire Electrical scop in 3D
  • Create Install Drawings
  • 2-D CAD Prefabrications Details
  • As-Built Drawings and associated 3D models
  • Link and Maintain Index Sheets
  • Maintain file archives
  • Stay current with required training for the VDC requirements
  • Quality assurance of work product

REQUIREMENTS:

3 years of experience in BIM/VDC Coordination. High School Diploma or equivalent, along with an A.A.S. Degree in Computer Aided Drafting and Design or equivalent, is required.
