The LDRP unit at CMH provides comprehensive maternity care, including antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, intraoperative, postoperative, and newborn care. We deliver 20-25 babies monthly, with 4 LDRP rooms, 2 triage/antepartum rooms, and 1 operating room. Our team is committed to safe, state-of-the-art care, following AWHONN staffing guidelines, fostering positive relationships, and maintaining a patient/family-centered environment. CMH has been recognized among the "Best Hospital for Maternity" and "Maternity Care Access Hospital" by US News & World Report.

The Clinical Nurse I, II, and III roles involve applying technical skills and knowledge to meet patient and family needs, preventing illness, maintaining wellness, and providing comfort. They include assisting the healthcare team, documenting care, administering medications safely, and demonstrating increasing mastery and leadership within the unit. Specific experience and education requirements vary by level, with ongoing licensure, certification, and training expectations outlined.

Additional responsibilities include supervising others, working all shifts, and adhering to physical, mental, and emotional demands of the role. The position is nights, with schedules subject to change based on unit needs.

Minimum requirements include current RN licensure in Virginia or an eligible/compact state, relevant experience, and appropriate education. Preferred qualifications include a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing and certification in a specialty area.
