Job summary

Pacific Seafood seeks a VCQ Manager – Central Procurement to lead quality and compliance across value creation. You will manage a team, drive HACCP implementation, and coordinate with procurement, R&D, and regulatory bodies to uphold food safety and product quality.

The role requires strong leadership, analytical skills, and extensive knowledge of food safety standards. Occasional travel and onsite collaboration with co-packers are expected.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five-years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Knowledge of HACCP, GFSI standards, SSOP and COOL Act.
• Be available nights and weekends as needed.
• Up to 25% travel required for plant audits, inspections.
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university preferred.

Responsibilities

• Quality Management: lead HACCP, ensure food safety and regulatory compliance.
• Develop and maintain SOPs, specifications, and traceability systems.
• Lead vendor audits, scorecards, and corrective action follow-up.
• Coordinate with Central Procurement and R&D on continuous improvement.
• Provide on-site support, training, and leadership to the VCQ team.
• Manage recalls, audits, and regulatory investigations as needed.
• Communicate daily reports and recommendations to management.
