Job summary

Tekgence Inc is seeking a Sr. Consultant to work with a customer over 21.5 weeks in the Washington, D.C. area, onsite two days per week. The engagement covers VCF design, deployment, integration, and validation in customer environments, with a focus on hands-on delivery and professional conduct.

The role requires 5+ years of VMware delivery experience, familiarity with VCF 5x/9x, vSphere, NSX, and vSAN, and the ability to produce clear documentation and runbooks for Day‑1/Day‑2 activities.

Qualifications

• Strong communication and collaboration skills in customer-facing engagements.

Candidate must be local to Washington, D.C. area and willing to go onsite two days a week.

Sr. Consultant to work with our Customer over the course of 21.5 weeks.

Customer is finally ready to get started, looking as soon as possible.

There are 344 hours avail over 21.5 weeks so it would be approx up to 16 hours per week, it's T&M.

Scope:

This is regarding a Jumpstart-type workshop to understand our current state and future network needs.

Description and Overview

The VCF Design and Deploy Senior Consultant will implement architectures defined by the VCF Architect, focusing on build, integration, and validation activities within customer environments. This is a tactical delivery role requiring strong technical skills and customer-facing professionalism.

Key Responsibilities

• Deploy and configure VCF 9 components (VCF Management Domain, vSAN, Workload domains, and NSX).
• Execute build plans, implement network/storage policies, and validate integration points.
• Troubleshoot and resolve deployment issues, escalating as needed.
• Work alongside the Architect to align delivery with design specifications.
• Document configurations, runbooks, and operational procedures for customer handoff.
• Provide knowledge transfer and support customer teams during Day-1 and Day-2 activities.
