Job summary

Rezult Group, Inc. is seeking a VCF Platform Engineer to migrate and modernize VMs to a new private cloud, and to coordinate complex virtualization projects. The role requires deep VMware Cloud Foundation expertise, VCF 5.x experience, and strong OS infrastructure knowledge.

Hybrid work is offered in Lakeland, FL or Atlanta, GA with a focus on capacity planning, automation, and security hardening. Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred.

Qualifications

• 5 years hands-on experience with VMware Cloud Foundation, Hypervisor Platform.
• 5 years experience with VCF 5.x.
• Strong experience with Vsphere 7.
• 5 years experience with HP and Dell servers.
• 5 years experience deploying/managing OS in AD environments (Windows Server, RedHat).
• 3 years experience with high availability tech (SAN, RDMs/Shared VMDK, Clustered Storage, Server/SQL Clusters, NLBs).
• 3 years experience with other hypervisor platforms (Hyper-V, RHEV).
• 3 years experience with infra management tools (HPE OneView, Dell OpenManage, Red Hat Satellite, SCCM, SCVMM).
• 3 years experience with VMware technologies (vSphere ESXi, vSAN, VCF, vRealize).
• 3 years PowerShell/PowerCLI scripting.
• 3 years experience in AD-managed environments.
• 3 years with multiple hardware platforms.
• 2 years with VMware Cloud Foundation in a large enterprise.
• 2 years with VMware products (vROPS, vRLI, SDDC, LCM, vIDM, vRNI).
• Experience with IaC (Ansible, Terraform).
• Experience with network concepts (gateways, subnets, firewalls, DNS, NSX/DFW, VM micro-segmentation).
• Self-motivation, productivity, integrity.
• Experience with corporate AI tools in development (Agentic AI, GitHub Copilot).
• Bachelor's degree in CS/IS/Business or related field (or equivalent).

Responsibilities

• Migrate and modernize existing VMs to the new private cloud platform.
• Coordinate VM cloud modernization conversions including federation-enabled replication and runbook updates.
• Perform VM right-sizing with OS-level resource validation and capacity dashboards.
• Create and maintain Sandbox VMs for POC, upgrade paths, and security hardening validation.

Job description

This individual will be responsible for:

• Migrating and modernizing existing VMs to the new private cloud platform.
• Executing and coordinating VM cloud modernization conversions, including replication transitions with federation enabled, requiring capacity assessments, JSON conversions/validations, runbook updates, and pipeline execution for VMs in scope.
• Execute VM right-sizing initiatives in coordination with application teams, including OS-level resource utilization validation, stakeholder approval workflows, and progress reporting through capacity dashboards.
• Create, maintain, track, and clean up purpose-built VMs and environments in Sandbox used for POC efforts, upgrade path testing, and security hardening validation.

We are actively speaking with applicants who have a minimum of:

• 5 years of hands-on experience with VMware Cloud Foundation, Hypervisor Platform
• Hands-on VCF 5.x experience
• Strong Operational experience of Vsphere 7
• 5 years of experience working with HPE and Dell servers

Preferred Certifications and Experience:

• 5 years experience with deploying and managing various Operating Systems in a Microsoft Active Directory managed environment including Windows Servers, RedHat, and vendor supplied appliances.
• 3 years experience with high availability technologies such SAN, RDMs/Shared VMDK, Clustered Storage, Server/SQL Clusters, and Network Load Balancers.
• 3 years experience with other hypervisor platforms including Microsoft Hyper-V, and Red Hat Enterprise Virtualization, etc.
• 3 years of experience with various infrastructure platform management tools including HPE OneView, DELL OpenManage, Red Hat Satellite, SCCM, SCVMM, etc.
• 3 years of experience with various core VMware technologies including vSphere ESXi, vSAN, VMware Cloud Foundation, and vRealize Suite.
• 3 years of experience with PowerShell and PowerCLI scripting.
• 3 years of experience in supporting various Operating Systems in a Microsoft Active Directory-managed environment.
• 3 years of experience with multiple hardware platforms.
• 2 years of experience working with VMware Cloud Foundation in a large enterprise
• 2 years of experience with various VMware products including vROPS, vRLI, SDDC, LCM, vIDM, and vRNI
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code capabilities such as Ansible Automation Platform and Terraform.
• Experience with network concepts such as gateways, subnets, firewalls, AD/Infoblox DNS, NSX/DFW tags, and VM-level micro-segmentation.
• High degree of self-motivation, productivity, commitment, and integrity.
• Experience with responsible use of Corporate AI tools for gaining velocity in productivity and development code, such as Agentic AI, GitHub Copilot, etc.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
