Job summary

Rezult Group seeks a Platform Engineer to advance our private cloud initiatives and VM modernization efforts. You will migrate existing VMs to cloud platforms, coordinate conversion activities, and implement capacity planning with dashboards.

The role requires hands-on VMware Cloud Foundation, VCF 5.2+, and IaC tooling such as Ansible and Terraform. The candidate should have 5+ years in virtualization environments, Windows Server and RedHat experience, and strong automation skills.

Qualifications

• 5+ years hands-on with VMware Cloud Foundation
• Experience with VCF 5.2+
• Operational experience with Vsphere 7+ and IaC tools (Ansible, Terraform)
• Experience with Windows Server, RedHat and vendor appliances
• Knowledge of high-availability tech (SAN, RDMs, vSAN, clusters)
• Familiarity with NSX/DFW, gateways, subnets, DNS
• Ability to utilize PowerShell/PowerCLI for automation
• Strong self-motivation and integrity

Platform Engineer - Immediate Vacancy

Responsibilities

• Migrating and modernizing existing VMs to the new private cloud platform.
• Execute and coordinate VM cloud modernization conversions including replication transitions with federation enabled, requiring capacity assessments, JSON conversions/validations, runbook updates, and pipeline execution for VMs in scope.
• Execute VM right-sizing initiatives in coordination with application teams, including OS-level resource utilization validation, stakeholder approval workflows, and progress reporting through capacity dashboards.
• Create, maintain, track, and clean up purpose-built VMs and environments in Sandbox used for POC efforts, upgrade path testing, and security hardening validation.

Qualifications & Experience

• 5+ years of experience hands-on with VMware Cloud Foundation, Hypervisor Platform
• Hands-on VCF 5.2+ experience
• Strong Operational experience of Vsphere 7+3+ Years of hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code capabilities such as Ansible Automated Platform and Terraform

Preferred Certifications and Experience

• 5+ years of experience working with HPE and Dell servers
• 5+ years experience with deploying and managing various Operating Systems in a Microsoft Active Directory managed environment including Windows Servers, RedHat, and vendor supplied appliances.
• 3+ years experience with high availability technologies such SAN, RDMs/Shared VMDK, Clustered Storage, Server/SQL Clusters, and Network Load Balancers.
• 3+ years experience with other hypervisor platforms including Microsoft Hyper-V, and Red Hat Enterprise Virtualization, etc.
• 3+ years experience with various infrastructure platform management tools to include HPE OneView, DELL OpenManage, RedHat Satellite, SCCM, SCVMM, etc.
• 3+ year of experience with various core VMware technologies including vSphere ESXi, and vSAN, VMware Cloud Foundation, and vRealize Suite.
• 3+ years of experience with PowerShell and PowerCLI,scripting.
• 3+ years of experience in supporting various Operating Systems in a Microsoft Active Directory managed environment.
• 3+ years of experience with multiple hardware platforms.
• 2+ years experience working with VMWare Cloud Foundation in a large enterprise
• 2+ years experience with various VMware products including vROPS, vRLI, SDDC, LCM, vIDM, and vRNIExperience with network concepts such as gateways, subnets, firewalls, AD/Infoblox DNS, NSX/DFW tags, and VM level micro-segmentation.
• High degree of self-motivation, productivity, commitment, and integrity.
• Experience with responsible use of Corporate AI tools for gaining velocity in productivity and development code, such as Agentic AI, GitHub Co-Pilot, etc.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
