Responsibilities

Our Technology Companies Group (TCG) practice is seeking a Managing or Senior Associate with 4-7 years of private fund formation experience to join our Silicon Valley, San Francisco, Santa Monica, Seattle, New York, Boston, Washington, D.C. or Orange County offices.
Our TCG practice is top notch: we are a global team of problem-solvers, and we represent innovative companies and investors at all stages. Frankly, we see it all and we are known for innovating.


Our private investment funds team is recognized for our representation of some of the most active and innovative venture capital and growth equity fund managers and our assistance in helping those fund managers both raise and deploy capital across the innovation ecosystem. We advise sponsors of all kinds, from established, multi-billion AUM funds to emerging managers, on the full spectrum of fund formation and regulatory matters.


This candidate will be instrumental in working with and managing the fund-side work for our clients, where we offer specific and unique expertise from our position as one of the leading advisors in the emerging companies and venture capital ecosystem.


Qualifications

* 4-7 years of experience focused on private fund formation and investment management, with at least some meaningful experience representing venture capital and growth equity funds.
* Candidates must be highly motivated and possess excellent academic credentials.
* Outstanding interpersonal and organizational skills.
* Exceptional writing and communication skills are necessary.
* Bar membership to the state where a candidate will be practicing is required.

Compensation and Benefits

The expected salary range for this position is between $310,000 and $420,000.

Orrick is committed to providing a comprehensive, competitive, and thoughtful total compensation package to our attorneys and staff, wherever they work. This compensation and benefits information is based on the Orrick's estimate as of the date of publication and may be modified in the future. The level of pay within the range will depend on a variety of job-related factors that may include, but not limited to, qualifications, relevant experience or education, particular skills or expertise, geography. Other compensation may include an annual discretionary merit bonus, which would be determined by Firm and individual performance.
