Job summary

Cyquent is hiring an Application Integration Developer to join the IT Division. The role focuses on expanding data integrations, developing in C# and VB.NET within Windows Forms and WCF services, and ensuring security standards. You will work on a Windows-based Delta+ application suite in a team using Scrum.

Onsite work with some telework is available. Minimum two years of Windows Services development with C# and VB.NET, WCF, REST/SOAP, and JSON experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or 3 years of equivalent experience in a technical field.
• Experience in Windows applications and services using C# and VB.NET.
• Experience with WCF services and REST/SOAP APIs.
• Familiarity with JSON formats and data interchange.

Responsibilities

• Participate in Scrum ceremonies and 2-week sprints to develop interfaces for the Delta+ Windows application suite.
• Create tasks for PBIs based on user stories and write code for Windows services in C# and VB.NET with DevExpress controls.
• Perform testing, code reviews, and maintain existing Windows applications for security and compatibility.
• Assist with upgrades to the system and modules within the Windows application framework, and update end-user documentation.

Role - Computer Programmer, (Junior)

Contract Type – W2

The Application Integration Developer will work with the IT Division to enhance and expand functionality for data integrations. The selected candidate will join an existing team of Windows Application Developers using C# and VB.net within Windows Forms and WCF web services and is expected to have experience in those technologies.

Duties

• Participation in Scrum ceremonies
• Participate in 2-week sprints to develop interfaces for the Delta+ windows application suite.
• Create tasks for PBls based on user stories.
• Write code for Windows services in C# and VB.net using DevExpress controls.
• Perform testing.
• Perform code reviews.
• Improve existing systems within MDSP through requested enhancements to Windows applications.
• Assist with upgrading the system and the modules within the existing framework of Windows applications.
• Maintain existing source code improvements to keep the Windows applications up to the latest technology and security standards.
• Ensure all WCF web services use the most up-to-date security standards and technologies as needed.
• Continue to support the ongoing development of additional application features as needed.
• Assist MDSP with documentation of existing and future system designs.
• Continue to update and improve end-user documentation as needed.
• Other duties as assigned

Specialized Experience

• Minimum of two (2) years of experience developing Windows Services using C# and VB.net.
• Minimum of two (2) years of experience designing and implementing systems using Windows Communication Foundation (WCF) services.
• REST/SOAP services experience
• JSON experience

Preferred

• Experience utilizing Team Foundation Server (Azure DevOps).
• Experience creating and updating code with DevExpress controls.
• Knowledge of MWM (Model - View - View - Model) and how it applies to the software development cycle.
• Windows Forms experience.

Education

• This position requires a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with a major in computer science, information systems, engineering, business, or a related scientific or technical discipline; or three (3) years of equivalent experience in a related field.
