Job summary

Strattec, a global automotive access leader, is seeking a cost-out program manager to drive value engineering and continuous improvement initiatives in a high‑volume production setting. You will lead teardowns, build business cases, and coordinate cross‑functional validation with Quality, Engineering, and Procurement.

You will partner with suppliers to uncover hidden cost savings and manage multiple interconnected workstreams from kickoff to deployment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, or a hybrid technical-commercial field.
• Certification in Value Engineering (CVS or VMA) is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ideation & Teardowns: Lead product teardowns and benchmarking to identify cost-out opportunities.
• Business Case Development: Calculate financial feasibility, including costs, MOD, tooling, and payback.
• Cross-Functional Orchestration: Coordinate validation testing with Quality, Engineering, and Procurement.
• Supplier-Led Innovation: Run VAVE workshops with key suppliers to uncover cost savings.
• Project Management: Track cost-out projects from idea to testing, approval, and implementation.
• Manage complex, multi-team programs with multiple interconnected workstreams.
• Translate product requirements into technical roadmaps and milestones.
• Identify, track, and mitigate technical risks and bottlenecks.
• Own the program schedule and drive accountability across teams.
• Participate in design reviews to ensure scalable, maintainable solutions.
• Facilitate technical trade-offs between engineering and product teams.
