Job summary

Carrier Corp. is seeking a VAVE Engineer to drive cost reduction through design optimization and cross-functional collaboration. The role requires hands-on CAD work and a strong understanding of sheet metal, casting, molding and machining processes.

Based in Athens, GA, the assignment involves coordinating with internal and external teams to meet milestones and deliver value to the customer. The engineer will study design requirements and materials to identify cost drivers, conduct peer reviews,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
• 3+ years of mechanical design/engineering experience.

Responsibilities

• Execute VAVE/Cost Reduction/Cost Optimization projects.
• Coordinate with internal & external stakeholders & cross-functional teams.
• Participate in internal & external meetings and reviews.
• Conduct peer reviews.
• Ensure milestone deliveries as per project schedule and with quality.
• Update project status and any important info/issue to relevant stakeholders in timely manner.
• Ensure successful completion of project with customer review and acceptance/feedback.
• Ability to study and analyze design requirements, materials, manufacturing processes and identify cost drivers.
• Hands on design/CAD experience in parts made by sheet metal/casting/molding/fabrication/machining.
• Good understanding about above manufacturing processes.
