Job summary

BayPort Credit Union is seeking a Vault Teller to provide quality service by processing financial transactions, resolving problems, and answering questions to improve members' financial well-being. The Vault Teller also supports the Lead Teller in their absence and participates in opening/closing procedures.

The role requires 1–2 years of Teller experience, strong cash handling accuracy, and solid computer skills, including Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent education.
• 1-2 years previous Teller or related experience.
• Strong cash handling skills to include a high level of accuracy.
• Strong computer skills to include proficiency in Microsoft Office software.
• Strong customer service skills to include telephone skills.

Responsibilities

• Processes members’ financial transactions, resolves problems, and answers questions regarding all of BayPort Credit Union’s products and services.
• Provides quality service to members in the drive thru and walk-up areas while adhering to teller policies.
• Assists with cash received/disbursed from vault and handling of all teller requests.
• Assists in balancing the vault, ATM and cash dispensing machines.
• Reviews out of balance conditions at daily closing and reconciles teller cash drawers and vault as required.
• Handles complex member complaints, transaction inquiries, and corrections or adjustments.
• Performs opening and closing procedures for the branch.

• Assists with cash received/disbursed from vault and handling of all teller requests. Responsible for all negotiable and non-negotiable instruments.
• Assists in the balancing of the vault, ATM and cash dispensing machines.
• Reviews out of balance conditions at daily closing and reconciles teller cash drawers and vault as required.
• Ensures monthly cash drawer audits are completed and recorded as required.
• Handles complex member complaints, transaction inquiries, and corrections or adjustments.
• Required to perform opening and closing procedures for the branch.
