Job summary

TerrAscend Corp. in New Jersey seeks a Driver/Vault Technician to drive company vehicles, pull and pack orders, and assist with vault inventory. You will map efficient routes, monitor road conditions and support loading/unloading daily orders in a fast-paced cannabis operations setting.

The role requires a valid driver’s license, a clean driving record, and willingness to work weekends; training and safety protocols apply, with opportunities to grow within a growing organization.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required and valid driver license.
• Two years of experience in a comparable position and a clean driving record.
• Familiarity with GPS devices and knowledge of local area roads.
• Ability to lift heavy packages and operate company vehicle safely.

Responsibilities

• Pulling, labeling and packing orders for shipment.
• Building batteries and assisting Vault team with inventory.
• Map routes and drive expedient trips across New Jersey.
• Input manifest documentation into POS system and maintain accuracy.
• Schedule car service and report issues; load/unload daily orders.

The Driver/Vault Technician will be responsible for driving deliveries in a company vehicle throughout the state of New Jersey and when not traveling, assisting with the Vault team to manage inventory and incoming/outcoming orders.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Pulling, labeling and packing orders for shipment
• Building batteries
• Working in a team setting
• Using Excel and bartender software
• Map out driving routes ahead of time to determine the most expedient trip
• Listen to traffic and weather reports to stay up-to-date on road conditions
• Adjust the route to avoid heavy traffic or road constructions, as needed
• Assist with loading and unloading daily orders
• Input clearly and accurately manifest documentation POS system
• Schedule regular car service appointments and report any issues

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

• High School Diploma/GED
• Two years of experience in a comparable position
• Proven experience as a Driver
• Valid Driver license
• Clean driving record
• Familiarity with GPS devices
• Knowledge of area roads and neighborhoods
• Ability to lift heavy packages and luggage
• Availability to occasionally take weekends
• Polite and professional disposition
• Applicant must be at least 21 years of age.

Working Conditions:

This position requires working in an environment that has a high amount of plant matter and pollen. Areas of the facility reach high/low temperatures with high humidity levels. Employees may have exposure to conditions such as dust, plant matter, and particles that affect the respiratory system, eyes, or skin, depending on department job assignments. Employees are required to wear protective gear and have the option to wear eye and ear protection. Certain areas of the facility use harsh chemicals for cleaning such as bleach and can have repetitive movements. Employees should be comfortable and capable of working under all of the above conditions.

Physical Requirements:

• This position may require the ability to perform essential functions that include, but are not limited to: Pushing, pulling, lifting, or moving items weighing up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Sitting, standing, kneeling, bending, squatting, and/or walking for extended periods of time. Using hands and fingers to touch, handle, feel, and pick objects (manual dexterity).
• Working with chemicals (e.g., butane, propane, bleach) while following strict safety guidelines.
• Cleaning and maintaining the facility or equipment using approved chemicals.
• Wearing personal protective equipment (PPE), including clothing protection, close-toed non-slip shoes, and optional ear and eye protection.
