GENERAL FUNCTION: Plan, assign and monitor the workflow of a team of non-exempt employees in the Cash Vault. Take operational direction from Vault management and implement change into daily workflows.

Responsible and accountable for risk by openly exchanging ideas and opinions, elevating concerns, and personally following policies and procedures as defined. Accountable for always doing the right thing for customers and colleagues, and ensures thatactions and behaviors drive a positive customer experience. While operating within the Bank's risk appetite, achieves results by consistently identifying, assessing, managing, monitoring, and reporting risks of all types.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Prioritize and assign work to a team of Vault Tellers I and II and the Reconcilement Clerk.

  • Actively monitor and manage the team#s workflow distribution.

  • Ensure that production standards are met and maintained.

  • Ensure that vault procedures and controls are followed at all times.

  • Review quality/productivity issues with team members.

  • Maintain optimum efficiency and cost effectiveness in a high volume environment.

  • Ensure timely completion of paperwork, reports and end-of-day functions.

  • Suggest new techniques to improve productivity to management team.

  • Communicate issues, as needed, to management team.

  • Provide effective and efficient training and direction to a team of Vault Tellers I and II and Reconcilement Clerk.

  • Serve as departmental resource for ongoing questions and problem solving on difficult issues.

  • Solve most complex operational and customer service issues that escalate beyond staff experience and knowledge.

  • Perform quality checks of departmental work in accordance with the monthly self-assessment procedures.

  • Approve/verify deposit discrepancies and error corrections.

  • Provide input to performance reviews of the team of Vault Tellers I and II and the Reconcilement Clerk.

  • Must be able to perform all essential duties and responsibilities of the Vault Tellers I and II and the Reconcilement Clerk.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: None

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • High school diploma or equivalent. Associates Degree preferred.

  • Four (4) years experience processing large amounts of currency and coin, preferably in a cash vault environment.

  • Two (2) years experience leading workgroups preferred.

  • Demonstrated data entry and PC skills including Microsoft office products Word and Excel.

  • Strong math, verbal, written and organizational skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment with the ability to interact well, and in a positive manner, with co-workers and management.

  • Should be viewed as a leader by the team.

  • Self-motivator with strong problem solving skills and attention to detail.

  • Must have ability to work in a fast paced environment without compromising quality.

  • Need to have flexibility in scheduling. Must work until the completion of daily vault functions.
