Job summary

Empyreal Logistics seeks a seasoned Vault Supervisor to oversee vault operations at our Dayton cash processing center. You will supervise tellers, ensure accurate processing of currency, and maintain regulatory compliance while meeting performance goals.

The role requires 50–55 hours per week, strong leadership, and familiarity with bank software systems. Occasional travel to assist with new locations and staff training is expected.

  • Provides effective day-to-day supervision of teller personnel.
  • Supervises the processing of all incoming and outgoing currency, schedules employees, determines priorities, assigns work, controls workflow, and resolves problems.
  • Ensures that all Federal Reserve Deposits are prepared to standard and documentation is correct.
  • Supervises daily balancing of vaults and maintains set cash limits.
  • Supervises each teller's daily reconciliation.
  • Monitors teller staff and provides feedback and guidance.
  • Assists staff with locating cash discrepancies and more complex tasks.
  • Investigates, reports, and resolves variances and operating issues and notifies appropriate managers.
  • Ensures team operates efficiently and produces high quality work.
  • Reviews timecards and addresses attendance issues.
  • Assists with development and implementation of processes and procedures.
  • Ensures staff follows policies and complies with regulatory requirements and security protocols.
  • Trains, cross-trains, and develops employees.
  • Addresses performance, personnel, and conduct issues and coaches/disciplines as appropriate.
  • Evaluates staff performance and conducts reviews.
  • Makes recommendations pertaining to employee status changes.
  • Maintains vault records and completes audits and reports.
  • Travels as requested to help set up new locations, training, and other assignments.

Position Summary:

The Vault Supervisor the day-to-day operations of the vault as consistent with Empyreal's goals and objectives, customers' expectations, and regulatory requirements. The Vault Supervisor places value not only on what work gets done, but also how it gets done. This newly created position is not located at a branch office; rather, the Vault Supervisor works at a cash processing center in the STATE area where you can focus on getting the job done.

Major responsibilities are as follows:

  • Communicates positively in a team-oriented work environment both in person, by phone, in writing, and through computerized and other electronic means.
  • Provides effective day-to-day supervision of teller personnel.
  • Supervises the processing of all incoming and outgoing currency. Schedules employees, determines priorities, assigns work, controls workflow, and resolves problems and bottlenecks.
  • Ensures that all Federal Reserve Deposits are prepared to standard and documentation is correct.
  • Supervises daily balancing of vaults and maintains set cash limits.
  • Supervises each teller's daily reconciliation.
  • Monitors teller staff and provides feedback and guidance.
  • Assists staff with locating cash discrepancies and more complex tasks.

  • Addresses performance, personnel, and personal conduct issues and coaches and disciplines employees as appropriate.
  • Evaluates staff's performance and conducts performance reviews.
  • Makes recommendations pertaining to employee status changes.
  • Maintains vault records and completes audits and reports.
  • Travels as requested to help set up new locations, employee training, filling in for others, and performing other assignments.
  • Models and supports the company's vision, values, and desired culture.
  • Fills in for tellers and other personnel as needed.
  • Performs other duties and projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
  • Must have the stamina to work 50 to 55 hours per week as needed.
  • Knowledge of or ability to use Bank software and systems
  • College Education or Military experience is desirable Exceptional problem-solving and management skills are required.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills are required.
  • A positive attitude and ability to be a positive member of a team is required
  • Must have excellent observation skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent recall and retention of information is needed.
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
  • Ability to work under pressure dictated by event schedules and project timetables.
  • Ability to read, understand and interpret written and verbal instructions and reports.
Physical Requirements:
  • The ability to travel occasionally within the district
  • Sitting for prolonged periods
