Job summary

The Vascular Experts in Stratford, CT is seeking a Vascular Ultrasound Technologist with RVT credentials to join our clinical team. Applicants should have an Associate’s degree in Imaging technologies, RVT or eligibility, and an active state license if required, along with knowledge of ultrasonic physics and safety

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree in Imaging technologies; 1 year related experience.
• RVT or eligible to obtain registry.
• Active professional license issued by the State if required.
• Knowledge of ultrasonic physics and instrumentation; safety practices in patient exams.

Responsibilities

• Prepare equipment, instruments, sterile procedures and supplies.
• Prepare patients for procedures, explain procedures and ease patient anxiety.
• Assist medical personnel during diagnostic procedures.
• Monitor equipment and alert physician to image/readings and patient changes.
• Evaluate image quality to ensure adequate representation of conditions.
• Maintain patient records and links to charts.
• Clean and sterilize equipment and stock supplies as required.
• Provide technical instruction to students, staff and residents.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Manager or TVE leadership.
