Job summary

Fairfield Medical Center is seeking a Vascular Technologist to provide diagnostic vascular ultrasound and related procedures under physician orders. The role requires ARDMS registration or eligibility within 90 days, with RVT preferred or RVS via CCI.

Two years of vascular lab experience is preferred, along with strong interpersonal skills and safety awareness. The technologist will operate ultrasound equipment, assist with procedures, ensure patient safety, and participate in student/preceptee

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited institution and ARDMS registration required (within 90 days).
• RV T certification preferred or through the CCI with a certification of RVS.
• Minimum of two years' experience under the supervision of a vascular physician or vascular laboratory.
• Exerting up to 20-50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10-25 pounds of force frequently.

Responsibilities

• Performs diagnostic vascular examinations upon order of a physician.
• Operates laboratory ultrasound equipment in a safe and appropriate fashion.
• Transports, moves and positions patients in a safe and appropriate fashion.
• Assists physicians with procedures involving the vascular lab.
• Maintains ethical relationships within the hospital and with patients.
• Maintains educational requirements/competencies for vascular certification.
• Assists in the precepting of students and new employees.
