Job summary

The Valley Hospital in Paramus, NJ is seeking a Vascular Technologist to perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations of arterial, venous and cerebrovascular systems. You will operate ultrasound equipment, verify patient identity, select exams from the work-list, and ensure images are archived to PACS per ITS protocols.

Requirements include completion from an accredited vascular ultrasound program, RVT or CCI registration, CPR certification, and at least 1 year of vascular sonography experience.

Qualifications

• Completion from an accredited vascular ultrasound program and RVT or CCI registration.
• CPR certification thru the American Heart Association required.
• 1 year vascular sonography work experience in a clinical setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare for and operate ultrasound scanning unit following IAC standards and physician orders.
• Produce detailed imaging of patients’ vascular anatomy for diagnostic information.
• Archive exams to PACS and ensure completion in ITS; assist patients into position.
