Job summary

Texas Cardiac and Vascular Institute seeks an experienced registered vascular technologist committed to high-quality imaging and excellent patient care. The role requires broad vascular ultrasound expertise, including venous reflux imaging, with independent imaging responsibilities after onboarding.

On-site onboarding and protocol training will be provided; the technologist will work independently with management support available for consultation and escalation as needed.

Qualifications

• Current RVT or RVS credential.
• Minimum of one year of vascular ultrasound experience.
• Proficiency in venous reflux imaging and arterial duplex imaging.
• Ability to work independently in a single-technologist lab.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient service.

Responsibilities

• Perform vascular ultrasound examinations according to established protocols (peripheral arterial and venous, carotid duplex, visceral and abdominal imaging).
• Conduct preoperative vein mapping for bypass and dialysis access planning.
• Evaluate grafts, stents, and hemodialysis access devices.
• Document findings and ensure images are stored in PACS; maintain clean, safe exam rooms.
• Escalate technical or clinical concerns to management as needed.
