Job summary

La Jolla Vein Care in La Jolla, CA is seeking a part-time Vascular Technologist (RVT or RVS) to join our team on a 1099 contract basis (2–4 days/week). The role focuses on venous studies, reports via cloud PACS, and patient education.

Qualified candidates have 2+ years of vascular ultrasound experience, RVT or RVS credentials, and familiarity with procedures like RFA or sclerotherapy. This is a flexible, independent contractor position with no nights or weekends.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of vascular ultrasound experience including reflux studies.
• Imaging patients in standing and reverse Trendelenburg positions.
• Strong skills in DVT studies and vein mapping.
• Knowledge of endovenous procedures such as RFA, sclerotherapy, and phlebectomy is a plus.
• Credentialed RVT (ARDMS) or RVS (CCI).
• Graduate of an accredited ultrasound program (vascular-focused preferred).
• Bonus: RPhS certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform venous insufficiency studies, DVT studies, and vein mapping.
• Generate preliminary reports via our cloud-based PACS system
• Relay abnormal results to the reading or referring physician
• Educate patients and explain procedures with professionalism and clarity
• Maintain a clean and compliant work area following IAC protocols
• Collaborate with the clinical team to deliver high-quality care
• Perform ABIs
