Job summary

UI Health in Chicago, IL is seeking a Vascular Sonographer Technologist to perform arterial and venous studies, operate high-frequency ultrasound equipment, and contribute to patient care in the Diagnostic Services Vascular Lab.

The role requires ARDMS/RVT licensure, CPR certification, and a high school diploma, with a day shift that includes rotating weekends, on-call duties, and holidays. On-site position with competitive hourly pay.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current RVT or ARRT Registered Vascular Sonographer licensure.
• CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform arterial and venous studies on hospital and clinical patients.
• Position patients and set up equipment for each scan.
• Prepare supplies and assist physicians during procedures.
• Adjust transducers and settings to obtain optimal images.
• Communicate with physicians for additional imaging as needed.
• Complete patient records and preliminary reports.
• Coordinate scheduling with other departments and for same-day add-ons.
• Maintain hygiene by disinfecting transducers per manufacturer guidance.
• Monitor and restock vascular ultrasound room supplies.
• Provide guidance to students, staff, and residents.
