This full-time position features a day shift with rotating weekends, on-call duties, and holiday rotation. The role is on-site in the Vascular Lab, with opportunities to work with students and residents.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent is required.
• Certification/licensure in vascular sonography (ARDT RVT or ARRT) required.
• Current CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Performs arterial and venous studies on hospital and clinical patients.
• Position patients and operate ultrasound equipment for each scan.
• Prepare supplies and assist physicians during related procedures.
• Selects and adjusts equipment to obtain, record, store, transmit and print optimal images.
• Confers with physicians to determine if additional images or information is required.
• Ensure completion of patient records and charges.
• Coordinate scheduling of exams and add-on patients; communicate with other departments.
• Cleans and disinfects transducers per manufacturer guidelines.
• Maintain supplies in vascular ultrasound rooms and notify manager when depleted.
• Provide technical guidance to students, employees, and medical residents.
• Performs other duties and participates in special projects as assigned.

Education

Professional vascular sonography certification/licensure
