Job summary

Origin Travel Nurses seeks a Vascular Technologist for a 13-week contract in Morristown, NJ. The role involves preparing adult and geriatric patients for vascular ultrasound examinations and reporting any clinical changes to the RN or physician.

Responsibilities include performing upper/lower venous and arterial duplex exams, carotid and abdominal duplex studies, and documenting findings in the electronic medical record. BLS is required; RVT/RVS preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of specialized vascular ultrasound experience.
• Fully qualified Vascular Technologist.
• BLS certification required.
• RVT/RVS or CVT skills preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for vascular examinations.
• Perform vascular ultrasound procedures including: venous and arterial duplex, carotid duplex, abdominal duplex (renal, mesenteric, portal).
• Document all procedures in the medical record.
• Report clinical changes to appropriate healthcare staff.
• Maintain sterile procedures and infection prevention.
