Job summary

Primary Vascular Care is seeking a skilled Registered Vascular Technician (RVT or RVS) to join our team. The ideal candidate has 2 years of vascular sonography experience and 1–2 years of venous insufficiency experience, with a strong foundation in non-invasive vascular ultrasound.

The role requires accuracy in exams, adherence to HIPAA, PACS/EMR proficiency, and collaboration with clinicians across sites. Travel to patient care sites may be required, and compensation is based on experience.

Qualifications

• Certification: Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT or RVS) through ARDMS or CCI.
• Minimum 2 years of vascular sonography experience.
• Minimum 1–2 years of venous insufficiency experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an accredited ultrasound/vascular technology program.
• BLS Certification required; Ultrasound certificate and competency in vascular ultrasound.
• Proficient with PACS and EMR systems; strong documentation skills.
• Clean driving record; travel to patient care sites as needed.

Responsibilities

• Prepare exam room and ultrasound equipment per PVC policies and protocols.
• Review clinical documentation prior to each exam; ensure proper patient identification.
• Evaluate contraindications and prep adequacy; assess patient tolerance.
• Perform diagnostic sonography exams with emphasis on venous reflux protocols and vascular pathology.
• Acquire additional images to ensure diagnostic-quality exams.
• Maintain patient privacy and HIPAA compliance; uphold infection control standards.
• Troubleshoot ultrasound equipment and report malfunctions.
• Collaborate with clinicians and staff to support efficient workflow.
• Support compliance with IAC and facility quality standards.
• Pursue ongoing education and certifications in sonography.
