Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care in the United States is seeking a Vascular Ultrasound Technologist to perform basic and advanced vascular ultrasound and other non-invasive vascular procedures. The incumbent will organize and prioritize work to meet department needs and complete assignments within the expected timelines.

The role requires triaging patients by acuity, obtaining and submitting exam images for physician interpretation, and maintaining accurate records in NextGen.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited ultrasound program and RVT certified within 12 months.
• 2–4 years related experience.
• Knowledge of vascular anatomy and physiology.
• Experience performing Transcranial Doppler and abdominal Doppler exams preferred.
• Ability to operate ultrasound and peripheral arterial Doppler systems.
• Ability to follow detailed exam protocols and safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic quality vascular ultrasound and non-invasive vascular procedures per department protocols.
• Triages patients by acuity and reviews orders for exam appropriateness.
• Submit accurate and complete exam images and data for physician interpretation.
• Enter data and maintain records in NextGen and department databases.
• Comply with department policies and participate in meetings, QA activities, and risk management.
