Job summary

AdventHealth Oviedo is seeking an ultrasound technologist to perform high-quality scans in a fast-paced imaging department. You will follow exam protocols, verify patient identity, and document procedures for radiologists.

The role requires RDMS/OBGYN or RVT credentials, strong PACS knowledge, and the ability to communicate across diverse teams. Sign-on up to $10k; schedule includes days, full-time.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Grad or equivalent
• Associate/ Bachelor’s preferred
• RDMS and OB/GYN certifications required or strongly preferred

Responsibilities

• Attends department meetings and supports department objectives.
• Obtains high-quality scans by following exam protocols.
• Confirms patient and exam accuracy using two identifiers.
• Performs and reports all procedures per policy.
• Reviews images and re-scan as needed by Radiologists.

Job Description

Schedule: Full Time Thursday-Saturday 7am-7pm Location: Oviedo Outpatient Imaging, Oviedo, FL Sign on: Up to $10k

• Attends department meetings and engages in positive dialogue to support department objectives.
• Obtains high-quality scans by following proper exam protocols and adapting procedures to each patient’s medical situation.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Confirms patient and exam accuracy using two patient identifiers before administering exams.
• Performs, documents, and reports all procedures in accordance with departmental policy.
• Reviews images and completes ultrasound worksheets promptly, re-scanning patients as requested by Radiologists.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Abdomen, Abdominal Doppler, OB/Gyn, Small Parts, Vascular, and Interventional Sonographic procedures [Required]
• Ability to learn and master new tasks related to the computer and AGFA Pacs system [Required]
• Ability to communicate effectively and work with people of various diverse backgrounds [Required]
• Ability to function independently with little or no supervision [Required]
• Ability to read and write legibly in English and perform basic mathematics skills [Required]

• Ability to perform venous ultrasound Doppler [Required]

• Knowledge of PACS and associated equipment [Preferred]

• Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) [Required]
• OR Registered Technologist - Vascular Sonography RT(VS)(ARRT) [Required]
