Job summary

Cedars-Sinai in Beverly Hills is seeking a qualified Vascular Technologist. You will be responsible for performing vascular ultrasound studies, ensuring high-quality imaging, and supporting the physician's diagnostic process.

The role requires graduation from an accredited program, RVT or RVS certification within 1 year, and BLS certification. Candidates should have 1 year of relevant experience and a patient-centered approach to care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited ultrasound/vascular tech program.
• Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) or Registered Vascular Specialist (RVS) is required within 1 year of hire date.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association and/or the American Red Cross required.
• 1 year of experience required.

Job description

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

• Uses appropriate techniques with ultrasound equipment to supply diagnostic studies based upon physician request
• Performs a variety of technical procedures to support physician’s diagnosis
• Responsible for providing high quality imaging
• Responsible for the performance of vascular ultrasound studies including doppler and imaging guided endovenous laser ablation
• Appropriately acquires echo vascular measurements per protocol, create digital preliminary reports for the interpreting physician, and verbally communicate preliminary findings to the interpreting physician
• Ability to review a physician order to verify appropriateness for order being performed
• Ability to retrieve studies from PACS for review
• Performs appropriate infection control processes
• Provides an environment of care that supports patient safety
• Addresses patient informative needs as pertains to requested studies
• Prepares patients for the study
• Assures accuracy data for clinical reports, demographics and billing information for physician reports
• Supports team approach and service focus work with colleagues in a 'team approach' to encourage a positive and service-oriented image for the department
• Utilizes professional language and action at all times

Qualifications

Education
