Job Summary

Performs advanced cardiac and vascular circulation diagnostic exams using echo, ultrasound, and/or Doppler equipment.

Responsibilities

• Meet expectations of the applicable OneCHRISTUS Competencies: Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader of Leaders.
• Perform ultrasound examinations of the cerebral, peripheral, and abdominal vessels to assist physicians in diagnosing disorders affecting circulation.
• Perform therapeutic procedures such as pseudoaneurysm compression.
• Record and maintain test data; prepare preliminary interpretations of test results.
• Depending on the department, perform routine abdominal, small parts, breast, OB/GYN, and other vascular ultrasound procedures.
• Assist physicians with biopsies, thoracentesis, paracentesis, and needle localization procedures.

Minimum Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Medical Sonography or Radiology Technology Program.
• 1-2 years of experience in vascular ultrasound preferred.
• Registered Vascular Specialist (RSV) or Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) from ARDMS, CCI, or ARRT.
• BLS certification.
