Job summary

Endeavor Health seeks a Vascular Technologist (PRN) to independently perform comprehensive vascular ultrasound testing at Glenbrook Hospital in Glenview. The role requires ensuring patient safety and precise documentation, with coordination of daily lab schedules alongside nursing and physician offices.

Qualified candidates will have a 2-year ultrasound program, RVT certification (ARDMS/CCI within 1 year for new grads), and 2+ years of experience preferred in arterial, venous, and carotid

Qualifications

• Completion of a 2-year ultrasound program.
• Certified Vascular Technologist (RVT). New graduates must obtain ARDMS or CCI certification within 1 year.
• 2+ years of clinical experience preferred; ability to independently perform arterial, venous and carotid imaging.

Responsibilities

• Perform vascular ultrasound testing including arterial, venous, carotid, transcranial and abdominal studies.
• Communicate abnormal findings promptly and document results clearly.
• Coordinate daily vascular lab schedules with nursing units and physician offices.
• Ensure patient safety and comfort during testing and respond to emergencies.
• Operate and maintain vascular ultrasound equipment and support accreditation activities.

Hourly Pay Range: $36.42 - $56.45 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Position Highlights:

Position : Vascular Technologist, PRN

Location : Glenbrook Hospital

PRN - As Needed

Hours : 7a - 5:30p M-Sat shifts

What you will do:

• Independently perform vascular ultrasound testing, including arterial, venous, carotid, transcranial and abdominal vascular studies.
• Communicate abnormal or positive findings promptly to providers and maintain accurate documentation.
• Coordinate daily vascular lab schedules and collaborate with nursing units and physician offices.
• Ensure patient safety and comfort throughout testing and respond appropriately to emergencies.
• Operate and maintain vascular ultrasound equipment and support department operations, staff training and accreditation activities.

What you will need:

• License: None specified.
• Education: Completion of a 2-year ultrasound program.
• Certification: Certified Vascular Technologist (RVT). New graduates must obtain ARDMS or CCI certification within 1 year.
• Experience: 2+ years of clinical experience highly preferred. Ability to independently perform arterial, venous and carotid imaging preferred.
