Summary:
Seeking experienced Vascular Ultrasound Technologist II to join our team of compassionate sonographers dedicated to patient care and diagnostic quality. The department performs all major types of vascular testing, with opportunities to learn specialty examinations such as TCD, follow-up endovascular aneurysm repair, and research studies. This position is based at the main hospital in Chapel Hill, servicing inpatients and outpatients. Technologists are responsible for image acquisition, transfer, and communication of preliminary findings.

Education Requirements: Associate's degree in Sonography, Radiology, or related field within 3 months of hire, or completion of a 12-month ultrasound program within 3 months of hire.
Licensure/Certification Requirements: Registered by ARDMS, CCI, or eligible, with registration achieved within 1 year of hire. Must maintain certification and continuing education annually.
Professional Experience Requirements: Minimum of 1 year in an acute hospital setting.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Specific competencies required by the organization.
