CASUAL POSITION

About Corewell Health Beaumont Troy Hospital

In response to the healthcare needs of a growing community, Corewell opened a new 189-bed hospital on rural farmland in Troy in 1977. Today, Corewell Health Beaumont Troy Hospital has expanded to 530 licensed beds and offers a comprehensive array of healthcare services, continuing to develop to meet the needs of the communities it serves.

Scope of Work

Performs non-invasive vascular testing in the inpatient, outpatient, and emergency department vascular testing areas. Obtains and evaluates patients' medical histories and symptoms to correlate pertinent information for the tests. Evaluates data gathered and provides preliminary reports to medical staff. Delivers care considering age, cultural, and spiritual needs, demonstrating Corewell Health standards and fostering a friendly, inviting, and safe environment for patients, families, significant others, and staff. May serve as a mentor or preceptor to new hires and students.

Qualifications

• Required: Graduate from an accredited Vascular Technology program with an associate’s degree in allied health technology or a diploma program.
• Preferred: Minimum of two years of vascular experience, including abdominal vascular testing.
• Required: Current BLS certification.
• Required: Active Registered Vascular Technologist license with ARDMS registry.
• Maintains current knowledge of vascular anatomy, hemodynamics, and pathophysiology. Demonstrates technical proficiency in non-invasive vascular lab testing. Ability to follow policies, procedures, and protocols. Must be self-directed to pass and maintain certification.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills are required in a fast-paced department with two testing locations on the Corewell Health campus. Must have basic technical skills to perform duplex, color, and power angio imaging, CW Doppler, PPG, segmental pressures, and PVRs.
