Qualifications

Position Summary:

Operates ultrasound equipment and performs a variety of technical diagnostic procedures which encompass the specialty areas of Peripheral Vascular Imaging. Provides a preliminary report of procedure completed. Provides patient orientation, procedure explanation, and pre and post diagnostic care to completion of test. Performs complete diagnostic tests inclusive of positioning patient, calibration of equipment, documentation of findings, under the direct supervision of the supervisor and/or Non‐Invasive Cardiology Manager. Assists patients with basic patient care needs. Provides emergency care, notifying appropriate personnel and ensures that patient safety is not jeopardized.

Responsibilities:

  • Performs all duties of a Peripheral Vascular Tech I
  • Prepares equipment ensuring that equipment is operational, safe, and functioning according to diagnostic standards.
  • Actively participates with patient testing, performing routine, non‐routine, urgent, and emergent patient requests.
  • Communicates with Patient Transportation, Nursing Units, Physician Offices, and other diagnostic areas to ensure that the patients receive their diagnostic procedures in a smooth, efficient, and safe manner.
  • Performs portable examinations at the bedside to ensure patient safety as well as provide immediate diagnostic testing when needed.

Minimum Requirements:
Education and Licensure:

  • Associate’s Degree in a health-related program in a related medical field, which includes seminar course training in cardiac ultrasound OR one-year certificate preferred.
  • Registered by American Diagnostic Registry for Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) as RVT or RDCS ‐OR‐ Registered by Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) as RVS or RCS.
Minimum Experience:
  • Three (3) years related experience.

Pay Range:

$33.60 - $48.73 /hour
