Job Summary and Qualifications

The Vascular Tech collaborates with the Chief Tech, Imaging Manager, Director, and Medical Staff to improve workflow by providing support, education, and leadership to technical staff. Performs sonography/vascular procedures as outlined by the State of Texas and departmental protocols, including neurological disorders, stroke, oncologic, and cardiac services.

What you will do in this role
  • Address customer needs in the Ultrasound area of the Imaging Department.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of clinical procedures, equipment, and policies necessary for job performance, including neurological, stroke, oncologic, and cardiac services.
  • Collaborate with department leadership to develop and implement strategies to meet goals.
  • Maintain and achieve daily productivity and quality assurance standards.
  • Prioritize work and meet deadlines effectively.
  • Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Access secure drug and biological storage areas when authorized and necessary for duties.
Qualifications needed
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of employment.
  • Registered Vascular Specialist or Registered Vascular Technician (RVT).
