Job summary

Piedmont Athens Regional Hospital is seeking a PRN Days Vascular Technologist to perform inpatient and outpatient vascular ultrasound exams with 2D imaging and Doppler. The role involves complex technical care for diverse patient age groups and requires accurate documentation of preliminary findings.

Ideal candidates will have a CAEAP-accredited vascular sonography education or equivalent IAC experience, current BCLS, and ARDMS RVT or RVS certification within 1 year.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a CAAHEP accredited vascular sonography program or equivalent experience per IAC is required.
• Current BCLS certification at hire is required.
• ARDMS RVT or RVS certification within 1 year is required or eligible.

Responsibilities

• Perform inpatient and/or outpatient vascular ultrasound testing including 2D imaging and physiologic testing.
• Provide complete documentation and preliminary exam findings for adolescent to geriatric patients.

PRN Days Vascular Tech Piedmont Athens Regional

Responsibilities

Perform inpatient and/or outpatient vascular ultrasound testing to include various 2D / Doppler vascular imaging and physiologic testing. Provide complex technical care with the use of ultrasound technology for adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients and provide all necessary documentation and preliminary exam findings.

Qualifications

Education

• Graduate of Graduate of a CAAHEP accredited Vascular Sonography program Required or
• In Lieu of education, equivalent experience according to Intersocietal Accreditation Commission (IAC). Required

Work Experience

• No experience required
• 2 years related experience as a hospital inpatient or outpatient / ambulatory vascular sonographer Preferred

Licenses and Certifications

• BCLS - Basic Life Support in accordance with the American Heart Association Upon Hire Required and
• Current registered or registry eligible with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) with one the following: within 1 Year
• RVT - Registered Vascular Technologist within 1 Year Required or
• RVS - Registered Vascular Sonographer Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) with RVS certification within 1 Year Required
