Job summary

Phoebe Putney Health System in Albany, GA seeks a skilled cardiovascular ultrasound professional to perform noninvasive tests across adult/pediatric echocardiography and peripheral vascular studies. You will assist physicians with ultrasound-guided procedures and ensure high-quality examinations meets lab standards.

Requires 2-year/AS degree in cardiovascular technology or equivalent, plus 4–5 years of vascular ultrasound experience.

Qualifications

• 2 year / Associate Degree in Cardiovascular Technology/Sonography (Required)
• In lieu of an Associates Degree; a Minimum of 4 years additional relevant experience is acceptable
• Work Experience 4 - 5 years Cardiovascular Ultrasound (Required)

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates technical skill in using equipment appropriate for role.
• Performs adult Echo, pediatric Echo and vascular exams with guidance as needed.
• Assist physician with ultrasound guided procedures and TEE as required.
• Provide leadership and on-the-job training within the department.

Job Number: 33979 Location: Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital Street Address: 417 W 3rd Ave City, State: Albany, Georgia Zip Code: 31701 Department: PPMH VASCULAR ULTRASOUND Shift: First Shift Job Type: Full time Posted Date: 2026-04-15 Job Description Summary: Performs a variety of standardized noninvasive cardiovascular tests to include three specialties of these four: adult echocardiography, pediatric echocardiography and peripheral vascular studies of upper and lower extremities and carotid arteries. Assist Physician with ultrasound guided exams. Perform studies with accuracy and precision necessary to satisfy department standards and Physician interpreters while projecting a professional image , conserving hospital property and assets and meeting competency requirements. Provides direct patient care to all ages. Performs injection of bubble studies and ultrasound enhancement agents such as Optison, Definity and/or Lumason.

Adult Echo/ Pediatric Echo/ Adult Vascular Exams. TEE Echocardiography. Assist OR with ultrasound guided procedures. Perform Pediatric Echocardiography as required.
