Job summary

Piedmont Healthcare in Columbus, Georgia, is seeking a Vascular Tech Reg to perform vascular ultrasound testing for various patient demographics. The role involves intricate technical care with ultrasound technology, ensuring all findings are properly documented.

Applicants must be graduates of an accredited Vascular Sonography program or have equivalent experience. Prior experience is preferred but not mandatory. Certification in BCLS and ARDMS registration is required within one year.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a CAAHEP accredited Vascular Sonography program required.
• In lieu of education, equivalent experience according to IAC is required.
• 2 years related experience as a hospital inpatient or outpatient/ambulatory vascular sonographer preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform inpatient and outpatient vascular ultrasound testing including 2D/Doppler imaging.
• Provide complex technical care using ultrasound technology.
• Document and report preliminary exam findings.

Overview

Vascular Tech Reg, PRN, Piedmont Columbus Midtown

Perform inpatient and/or outpatient vascular ultrasound testing to include various 2D / Doppler vascular imaging and physiologic testing. Provide complex technical care with the use of ultrasound technology for adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients and provide all necessary documentation and preliminary exam findings.

Qualifications

Education

• Graduate of a CAAHEP accredited Vascular Sonography program required
• In lieu of education, equivalent experience according to Intersocietal Accreditation Commission (IAC). Required

Work Experience

• No experience required
• 2 years related experience as a hospital inpatient or outpatient/ambulatory vascular sonographer preferred

Licenses and Certifications

• BCLS - Basic Life Support in accordance with the American Heart Association on hire required
• Current registered or registry eligible with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) with one of the following within 1 year: RVT (Registered Vascular Technologist) or RVS (Registered Vascular Sonographer) with CCI
