Job summary

Tenet Healthcare is seeking a vascular technologist to coordinate and perform vascular ultrasound studies in the laboratory. Under supervision, you will ensure high-quality imaging and act as an educational resource for the team.

The role requires an Associate degree and 1 year of clinical experience, plus ARDMS, AHA BLS and RVT certification (or registry-eligible with registration within 12 months). ICVAL is preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate degree required.
• 1 year experience in a clinical setting required.
• ARDMS, AHA BLS and RVT required; or registry-eligible with registration due within 12 months.
• Preferred: ICVAL.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and assist in all activities performed in the vascular laboratory and perform vascular imaging studies.
• Ensure delivery of quality vascular ultrasound studies and serve as an educational resource.
• Perform daily equipment checks and promptly notify the physician of pertinent findings.

Under the guidance of the manager of the vascular laboratory, assists in the coordination of all activities performed in the laboratory, including performing vascular imaging studies.

Coordinates and assists in all activities performed in the vascular laboratory. Ensures delivery of quality vascular ultrasound studies, and acts as an educational resource. Performs checks on equipment daily. Performs vascular examinations. Notifies physician immediately when clinical symptoms and test results reveal a positive outcome.

Education:

Required: Associate degree.

Experience:

Required: 1 year experience in a clinical setting.

Certifications:

Required: ARDMS, AHA BLS and RVT; or registry-eligible with registration required within 12 months.

Preferred: ICVAL.
