Grandview Medical Center in Birmingham, AL, seeks a Vascular Surgical Technician to support the perioperative team. You will prepare and maintain sterile fields, assist with procedures, and ensure instruments and supplies are ready, while upholding infection prevention standards.

This full-time, day-shift position offers a $10,000 sign-on bonus, comprehensive health coverage, education assistance, a 401(k) match, and paid time off.

Qualifications

• Technical School graduate of Surgical Technology or Practical Nursing program or an Associate Degree in Surgical Technology or Applied Sciences.
• 0–2 years of operating room surgical technician experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain the operating room for surgical cases with aseptic technique.
• Anticipate surgeon needs and pass instruments and supplies efficiently.
• Sterilize, inspect, and assemble surgical instruments as required.
• Perform sponge, needle, and instrument counts with circulating nurse.
• Assist in patient positioning, draping, and transfers for procedures.
• Maintain physician preference cards and ensure availability of instruments.
