The Michael E. DeBakey Department of Surgery at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston invites applications for an Assistant / Associate Professor of Surgery - Vascular Surgery (The Woodlands).

This clinically active role provides outpatient and inpatient care within a multidisciplinary team. Responsibilities include developing clinical, research, and educational programs; implementing evidence-based protocols; providing call coverage across affiliated hospitals; and advancing the division

Qualifications

• Medical degree from an accredited medical school.
• Texas Medical Board certification or eligibility.
• Completion of a certified vascular surgery residency program.
• Completion of a certified vascular surgery fellowship program.

Responsibilities

• Develop and participate in department and division clinical, research, and educational programs.
• Support the implementation of evidence based, state of the art protocols and quality metrics for the service at BCM.
• Provide call coverage for CHI St. Luke's Hospital, TCH, and other affiliated hospitals as needed.
• Actively participate in college, department, hospital and clinical professional meetings.
• Grow the vascular surgery division through participation in clinical, research, and education efforts.
