Job summary

The University of Texas at Austin, Dell Medical School, seeks a full-time vascular surgeon at the Assistant, Associate, or Professor level to join our Division of Vascular Surgery. Candidates must be board-certified or board-eligible in Vascular Surgery and have completed an accredited vascular surgery fellowship or integrated residency.

The selected candidate will provide a robust clinical practice covering open and endovascular care, participate in medical student education and residency

Qualifications

• Medical degree from an accredited medical school.
• Current Board certification in Vascular Surgery (or board eligible).
• Unrestricted license to practice medicine in Texas (or ability to obtain).
• Ability to work in a collaborative academic environment.
• Outstanding clinical teaching skills and scholarly interest.
• Commitment to excellence and departmental service.
• Eligibility for appointment at Assistant or Associate Professor rank.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive vascular care including open and endovascular procedures across affiliated centers.
• Participate in on-call coverage and outpatient clinics.
• Educate medical students and general surgery residents.
• Engage in clinical research and quality improvement activities.
• Collaborate with referring physicians and multidisciplinary teams.
• Develop data/quality metrics infrastructure to assess outcomes.
• Participate in departmental activities and policy implementation.
