Job summary

LocumTenens.com seeks a PA to provide vascular surgery coverage on-site in Upstate New York. The assignment runs ASAP–ongoing with day shifts and required call, supporting a high-acuity vascular surgery service in inpatient and OR settings.

The clinician will first assist on cases for a five-surgeon team, with 15–20 patients census and 3–5 rounds daily, and will document in the EPIC EMR system. Call coverage is 24/7 and prescriptive authority is required in this setting.

Qualifications

• Board certification required
• Prescriptive authority required (if applicable)

Responsibilities

• First assisting on surgical cases for a team of five surgeons
• Provide floor coverage with a service census of approximately 15-20 patients and 3-5 patients rounded on per day
• 7-8 OR cases daily
• Complete clinical documentation in EPIC EMR
• On-call physician available 24/7
