Job summary

LocumTenens.com is seeking a Nurse Practitioner for vascular surgery coverage in a hospital setting in New York. The assignment includes inpatient and operating room coverage on a day shift with on-call responsibilities, and will require autonomy across a 5-surgeon service.

The clinician will first assist in the OR, perform floor rounding, and manage the care of 3-5 patients per day with roughly 7-8 OR cases daily. EPIC is the documentation system used for all charting.

Qualifications

• Board certification as a Nurse Practitioner is required.
• Prescriptive authority is required.
• Active NP license in New York is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide vascular surgery coverage across inpatient and OR settings with day shift and on-call.
• First assist in the OR and floor rounding; round on 3-5 patients daily and support 7-8 OR cases per day.
• Complete clinical documentation in EPIC.
