Job summary

Black Women's Mental Health Institute in Missouri seeks an RN to provide direct patient care in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU). You will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for cardiovascular patients, and educate families on post-treatment management. A Nursing Diploma/Associate's degree is required; RN licensure must be current.

Bachelor's degree preferred. Certification in BLS/ACLS is a plus. No more than two years of experience required.

Qualifications

Job description

Role:

Provides direct patient care in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) as a Registered Nurse (RN).

Responsibilities:

Assessing, diagnosing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care. Educating patients and families on post-treatment management and medications. Promoting patient safety, quality, and regulatory compliance. Developing individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team and communicating across care continuum. Using critical thinking to evaluate physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, considering patient preferences and barriers. Ensuring safety and alertness in a high-acuity environment.
