Job summary

Albany Medical Center is seeking a full-time Vascular Surgery Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join the busy vascular surgery team at the Downtown Campus in Albany, NY. This role features day shift with some flexibility and a focus on high-quality, patient-centered outpatient vascular care.

Responsibilities include evaluating new patients, ordering tests, wound care, postoperative follow-up, and collaboration with the vascular team for care planning.

Qualifications

• Current NY NP/PA license and registration.
• Master’s degree from an accredited NP or PA program.
• Minimum 1 year vascular surgery/related experience preferred.
• DEA certification and NB Certification.
• ATLS and BLS certifications.
• Familiarity with Epic EMR is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assess and manage vascular surgery patients in outpatient settings.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests and manage postoperative follow-up.
• Provide wound care and perform clinic-based procedures.
• Collaborate with vascular team for care planning.
• Support telephone triage and outpatient vascular concerns.
• Follow patients after minimally invasive or open vascular procedures.
