Albany Medical Center is seeking a full-time Vascular Surgery Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our busy vascular team on the Downtown Campus in Albany, NY. The role focuses on outpatient care, wound management, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary vascular team.

The position offers day shifts with some flexibility, opportunities for growth, and a comprehensive benefits package within one of the region’s leading academic health systems.

Qualificações

• License and active NYS registration as NP or PA.
• Master's degree from NP or PA program.
• Minimum 1 year experience in vascular surgery, cardiology, wound care, or related field preferred.
• DEA certification and NB certification.
• ATLS and BLS certification. Epic experience a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Assesses and manages vascular surgery patients in outpatient settings, including new patient evaluations, tests, postoperative follow-up, clinic-based procedures, and wound care for vascular disease.
• Enhances patient access and continuity of care within a high-volume practice.
• Provides comprehensive, culturally sensitive healthcare including assessment, diagnosis, prescribing, patient education, and referrals.
• Collaborates with vascular team on care planning.
• Supports telephone triage and call management for outpatient vascular concerns.
• Provides ongoing care following minimally invasive procedures, endovascular therapies, and open vascular reconstructions.
• Manages postoperative follow-up and chronic vascular disease care.
• Delivers comprehensive outpatient wound assessment and wound care.
• Performs annual evaluations using ultrasound and cross-sectional imaging.

Formação académica

Master's Degree from NP program or PA program

License and active registration as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in New York State

DEA certification

National Board certification

ATLS and BLS certification
