Job summary

Albany Medical Center's Division of Vascular Surgery is seeking a full-time Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our busy vascular team. The role focuses on outpatient evaluation, wound care, imaging, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team at the Downtown Campus in Albany, NY.

Candidates must hold NY NP or PA licensure with a master’s degree, DEA and board certifications; vascular experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must hold NY NP or PA licensure.
• Masters degree in nursing or physician assistant program.
• DEA and national board certifications required.
• ATLS/BLS certifications preferred.
• Experience in vascular-related settings preferred.
• Experience with electronic medical records (Epic) a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assess and manage vascular surgery patients in outpatient settings.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests; manage postoperative follow-up.
• Perform clinic-based procedures and wound care for arterial/venous disease.
• Enhance access and continuity of care in a high-volume practice.
• Collaborate with the vascular team for care planning.
• Support telephone triage for outpatient vascular concerns.
• Provide care after minimally invasive and open procedures.
• Manage postoperative follow-up and chronic vascular disease care.
• Deliver outpatient wound assessment and care.
• Conduct annual evaluations using ultrasound and cross-sectional imaging.
