Job summary

VEIN AND ARTERY SURGICAL CONSULTANTS in San Antonio, TX, is seeking a compassionate Nurse Practitioner to join our vascular surgery and wound care team. This role focuses on developing long-term patient relationships and working closely with vascular surgeons.

Experience in vascular is preferred but not required; candidates from cardiology, nephrology, wound care, interventional radiology, or general surgery are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Current NP licensure in Texas is required.
• National NP certification is required.
• Experience in vascular-related fields is welcomed but not required.
• Strong communication and patient-education abilities.

Responsibilities

• Perform new patient and follow-up evaluations.
• Obtain comprehensive histories and perform physical examinations.
• Hospital rounding.
• Evaluate PAD, venous disease, and dialysis-access conditions.
• Review vascular ultrasound studies and diagnostic tests.
• Develop treatment plans with vascular surgeons.
• Provide preoperative and postoperative patient care.
• Manage postoperative wounds and recovery.
• Coordinate care with dialysis centers and other providers.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation.
• Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, MAs, ultrasound technologists, and admin team.
