Albany Medical Center’s Division of Vascular Surgery seeks a full-time Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join a busy, collaborative vascular surgery team. The role focuses on outpatient evaluation, wound care, and post-procedure follow-up in a high-volume setting.

Qualifications

• Licensed and active registration as an NP or PA in New York State.
• Master’s degree from an accredited NP program or completion of an accredited PA program.
• Minimum 1 year experience in vascular surgery, cardiology, wound care, or related field preferred.
• DEA certification.
• National Board certification.
• ATLS and BLS certifications.
• Familiarity with electronic medical records; Epic experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assess and manage vascular surgery patients in outpatient settings, including new patient evaluations.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests and manage postoperative follow-up.
• Perform clinic-based procedures and provide comprehensive wound care for vascular disease.
• Support continuity of care and patient access in a high-volume practice.
• Collaborate with the vascular team on care planning and referrals when appropriate.
• Support telephone triage and call management for outpatient vascular concerns.
