Job summary

Albany Medical Center invites applications for a full-time Vascular Surgery Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our busy division. The selected candidate will work in a high-volume outpatient vascular clinic with a multidisciplinary team, manage postoperative follow-up, and perform wound care alongside other vascular specialists.

The role requires NY NP/PA licensure, a master's degree, DEA and board certifications, and experience in vascular care.

Qualifications

• Active NY NP or PA license/registration
• Master's degree from NP program or PA program
• Minimum 1 year vascular surgery, cardiology, wound care experience preferred
• DEA certification and National Board certification
• ATLS and BLS certifications; Epic EMR familiarity recommended

Responsibilities

• Assess and manage vascular surgery patients in outpatient setting.
• Perform clinic-based procedures and wound care.
• Order/interpret diagnostics; manage postoperative follow-up.
• Coordinate care with vascular team and other departments.
• Support telephone triage for outpatient vascular concerns.
• Provide care after endovascular/open vascular procedures.
• Conduct annual ultrasound and cross-sectional imaging evaluations.
