Job summary

The Audie L. Murphy Memorial Veterans' Hospital in San Antonio, TX seeks a Vascular Surgery APN/NP to provide a full range of vascular care, make autonomous decisions, and collaborate with physicians for optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities include ordering and interpreting labs, documenting progress daily, managing post-operative care, and coordinating with the surgical team to ensure timely interventions and continuity of care for Veterans.

Qualifications

• Licensed independent practitioner with national certification.
• Ability to practice autonomously and in collaboration with physicians.
• Strong communication with patients and care teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide autonomous clinical decisions in vascular surgery.
• Order, interpret, and facilitate labs and imaging for vascular patients.
• Write daily progress notes and assist with discharge summaries.
• Manage a panel of patients with acute and chronic conditions focusing on health promotion.
• Coordinate care with nursing, radiology, pharmacy, and interdisciplinary services.
