Job summary

Memorial Hermann Health System seeks a qualified Nurse Practitioner with a vascular/cardiovascular focus to deliver comprehensive patient care in a surgical setting.

The role includes managing vascular primary patients and consults across multiple ICU units, with procedures and perioperative involvement. TX NP licensure, board certification, and 2+ years of clinical nursing experience are required; Master of Nursing preferred. On-site days; teamwork and patient-centered care emphasized.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduate of a Nurse Practitioner program approved by Texas or Acute Care NP program for Trauma; Master of Nursing preferred.
• Licenses/Certifications: Texas nursing license and NP board certification (ANCC/AANP/AACN); BLS; ACLS/PALS/NRP; ATLS if Trauma.
• Experience: 2 years of clinical nursing experience in area of practice.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive patient care with assessment, diagnosis, and treatment per state law and hospital standards.
• Obtain histories, perform exams, order reviews and manage treatment plans with interdisciplinary teams.
• Perform line placements and invasive procedures as needed (arterial/central lines, etc.).
• Collaborate on care protocols, guidelines, and educational activities; participate in research and teaching.
• Educate patients and families; participate in process improvements and quality initiatives.
• Maintain safe care and adhere to Memorial Hermann policies within budget and staffing constraints.
